Mint and Muddle

Gentle readers have complained for the lack of posts. The long time in between posts makes everyday things seem less blog-worthy. But listen up, both of you, 'cause here's some quotidian shit.

Summertime and the livin's easy chez San Martin - lots of good friends around, refreshing citrusy beverages, baseball. The garden's going great guns; tomatoes coming up and lots of fresh herbs to figure out how to use. My friend Chris has some excellent uses for the mint, which I'm eager to learn about.

Pedro's having a tough game tonight, pitching to his old friends and former teammates; in the bottom of the first he blew a double-play opportunity because he forgot who was on base, he was so flustered by the fans' standing ovation when he came out of the dugout. I turned off the t.v. with 8-0, Sox ahead in the bottom of the third, so I could avoid finding out whether they turned on him or not.

I'm off to the Abbey for two-dollar PBRs tonight. Things are crazy at work, but mostly good things are happening. I couldn't be happier.
